Mark Singer is the founder and President of AOV and is
assisted by experienced associates and professional
contract employees performing support activities for
clients. His experience and credentials include:
- President of Advocates
of Virginia, an association management and consulting
firm formed in 1981. Offers management and association
services, and legislative representation;
- Previously employed
for eight years as Director of Public Affairs and
Communication for a statewide trade association;
- Serves as Executive
Director for a number of association clients.
Responsibilities include managing daily operations of
associations including, but not limited to: staff
supervision, financial and budgetary authority,
convention and education planning, newsletter production
and distribution, membership recruitment and retention,
communication and public relations functions, labor and
human relations responsibilities, and any other area
falling under the general heading of association
management;
- Provides legislative
representation for a number of clients during sessions
of the Virginia General Assembly, and before state and
local agencies and governing bodies;
- Past President,
Richmond Public Relations Association. A regional
association consisting of over 200 public relations and
public affairs professionals representing the major
corporations in the central Virginia area, as well as
many of Richmond's important public relations and
advertising firms;
- Past President,
Virginia Society of Association Executives, a statewide
association of trade association executives who meet
monthly to discuss common problems and strive to improve
their professional abilities. Recipient of VSAE's most
coveted award - The Award of Excellence - in 1995.

Tina Pollard is the Office / Operations Manager for Advocates of Virginia.
Tina’s experience includes 8+ years working in the electrical industry where she assisted in the daily management of a multi-million dollar region.
Tina is proficient with all Microsoft Applications as well as various accounting systems. She is also skilled in meeting planning/management and newsletter production. In addition to managing the AOV office, she also writes two columns for a local newspaper. |
